Been going here for five years now, very good food and service every time we go. They are very busy on Taco Tuesday's. Great Tacos. I have liked most of the dishes I have ordered, but not a fan of their Chili Relleno, I agree with others it is a disappointment. Chili Colorado is very tasty. Enchiladas and tamales are very good. Who can go wrong with their cheese crisp? Great Guacamole.

Food is amazing. I'm kind of a Mexican food snob and we are always looking to find great little Mexican restaurants. Came here for lunch today and ordered the #1 a shredded beef taco, cheese enchilada with rice and beans. This place is awesome and passed the test. Great rice, great beans, perfect taco and enchilada. This place is no Taco Bell it is real authentic Mexican food. We will be back for sure! Been searching for real Mexican food throughout the area and this place is it! The service was awesome., waitress Alex was super nice. Also great huevos rancheros and margaritas. Great food, friendly service.

As the 3 stars indicate, we think it is A OK. We often have breakfast there on weekends, and the (free) coffee is better than most restaurants. The huevos rancheros is great, the machaca is great. the chips are top quality and the salsas are both great. Unlike a number of Mexican restaurants, both their hot and mild salsas are very interesting. Usually, one or the other falls short, but these are both great, just differing levels of hotness. The tostada is great, the beans are the best in the county. However, the tamales are pathetic, and the chile relleno is NOT a stuffed chile, for those of you who read Spanish. It is just some strips of green chile and cheese, with a bit of egg around or over it. More like an omelet. Those two shortcomings knock our rating down to 3 stars. The place is immaculate and the service is top notch.

Just departed Casa Grande and immediately came home to write this review. Warning!! This was the worst excuse for Mexican food I have ever experienced. Carnitas was deep fried and tasteless. I asked for corn tortillas, received flour. First beer was cold the second was room temp. Sent back the food and the beer. Best thing I can say is that the waitress was sympathetic and only charged me for the first cold beer. I live in Chino Valley and will never go back to Casa Grande!!!!

On a recent visit to my Dad's place in Arizona, we met my uncle here for dinner. This restaurant is a favorite of my father's. He goes here at least twice a month and always orders the chimichunga (sp?) with beef. It comes with huge chunks of tender beef tucked in a large tortilla. It is a family run business and the dishes certainly look home-made with good-sized portions. I ordered the cheese crisp and a cheese enchilda. Both were very good-the cheese crisp was much larger than I had expected. They used a full sized tortilla so it covered the plate. We also ordered a pitcher of margaritas. Very reasonably priced and delicious. Five people had two glasses each.

Been here numerous times, and I'm thinking an ownership change happened. When we first started going everything was awesome, service was great, and food was fast. The past few times though we have had very poor service and merely mediocre food. It is good for groups, and they have decent carnitas, but beyond that I'd rather go to Alfonso's or Taco Corner.

Casa Grande was recommended to us when we moved to Chino Valley. We tried it and found that it was great. Resonable prices, and great service! I loved that they brought both hot and mild salsas - and they were tasty. My wife and I both had the Carne Asada burrito, and thought that it was good. My daughter, 2, had the grilled cheese sandwich - and it was pretty darn good too. I usually don't get my hopes up for the kids meals at a mexican food place, but they did pretty good, and their french fries were crispy.

Best Mexican food in central AZ! I had the Carne Asada and Wow! Loved it, my wife got a shredded beef taco and a shredded chicken enchilada (verde) her items were awesome as well. The salsa was flavorful and the chips appeared to be made in house. I will definitely be returning to Casa Grande eager to try more items off the menu.

Nice local Mexican food convenient to the highway in Chino Valley. Simple and straightforward food without pretensions and priced fairly. Friendly service and warm decor. I had chile relleno and an enchilada which was just right. I don't like my food very spicy so some may want to add hot sauce but for my east coast palate it was really really good. My wife enjoyed the burrito with carne asada and gave it a thumbs up.

I really like Casa Grande. The food is excellent. The price is very reasonable and the staff is cheerful, efficient and friendly. My favorite is their chili rellano and the munedo on the weekends is as homemade as you can get it. Awesome.(Side note: I do not live in NY like my profile says. I live in Prescott Valley)

Yuck! Everything was horrible- the chips and salsa, the so called "queso", & my meal, which was a chicken taco & cheese enchilada. There was no flavor at all. Tasted very cheap.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
